What I ate Wednesday

lime water

First item of the day is a pint of water, normally drank on the go as I shower and do the household/mum type things.  I’ve been trying to get into the habit of making a bottle of water the night before and popping it in the fridge so the next morning it’s ready and waiting.  I have to drink a third before I can eat but then because the other litre is there I am already well on my way to my first 1.5litres.

berry smoothieBreakfast is either around 7am or 8:30am depending on whether I’m in the office or working from home.  My smoothie was strawberry and banana with water, yoghurt and egg whites.  Yup, raw egg whites.  It grosses me out if I think about it too much.  Hopefully the scale at the weekend will show it’s worth!!

coffeeCoffee!  Oh my, nectar from the Gods!  My current Starbucks order is a grande white americano with the guatemala espresso blend.  I’m trying to move onto black coffee but at least I’ve given up my 4 shot lattes right!?  I also try to remember to pack my £1 reusable cup as it saves me 25p each time and generally makes me infinitely cooler obviously.

snackSnack #1 is around 10am.  My favourite rice cakes are Kallos’ no salt added, 10-15 almonds – this was while I was transitioning away from a mix of almonds, cashews and macademia and an apple.  I like Tesco’s pink lady apples in a multi-bag as they are tasty but not overly big.

chicken saladLunch is around 1pm and normally a chicken salad with a couple of new potatoes or half an avocado and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

waterSnack #2 is around 4pm which is perfect as this is normally where I start to slump.  It’s the same as snack #1 so I haven’t photographed it…also it rarely lasts long enough to be photographed.  There is also a lot of water in my life at the moment, I’m averaging around 4.5litres per day.

tuna wrapDinner isn’t until about 8pm by the time I’m home and have tidied around the house, got changed and had a quick catch-up with Mark.  This was a lazy dinner as I was eating alone.  Tuna mixed with a little mayo {cheat} on a ‘wrap’ made of egg whites and coconut flour {recipe} and a side of steamed broccoli.

I have set myself 3 goals for before I turn 30.  I am documenting my journey to lose 60 pounds by my 30th birthday through weekly videos which you can watch here.
