These are the two new essie polishes I bought at half price {as mentioned here}.
Left is ‘it’s in the bag’ and right is ‘cocktail bling’.
White manicures are abit like converse, for a long while I’m been eyeing them up from afar. Thinking they were cute but ‘for other people’. However, recently I’ve been trying to stop discounting myself from trends without thought or reason. Often I go back to that 14 year old view of myself where I am overweight, geeky and unpopular. Recently I bought my first pair of chucks and I’m been wearing them with everything and anything. Whilst watching Jess’ trulydaily videos I noticed she was often rocking the white mani look and so I needed to try it too! What can I say, I’m a selective, take my time and then slightly tweak the trend sheep!!
I opted for a slightly off white as I felt that a stark white might be a bit tipex like and draining for my skin tone as I’m an english rose {code for pale}. However, having tried it I totally want to pick-up a true white next time I’m in Boots to try. Maegan helped me perfect the look as she let us all in on the secret to perfecting the white manicure. I did two thin layers of the polish which was thin and streaky as I expected. Then a cheeky layer of essie’s ‘matte about you’ but adding a final layer of the polish. It works like a dream!!
