Well hello my lovely friends who kindly hop over and read my witterings now and again, how are you?

No don’t just tell me you’re fine.  Really, how are you?  I would love to hear your news, what items are you lusting over, what fun activities did you enjoy over the weekend and which programmes should I be watching?

Loving these £1 plastic takeaway cups from Starbucks.  They are lightweight so perfect for carrying around on the go and because they are opaque I can have mine filled to the brim with caffeine and William has his filled with water and all drama is avoided as he assumes he has exactly the same as me!!  You might also have noticed I have returned to the darkside of acrylics but I just love them!  I thought I had found the perfect solution with a french manicure using gels but they just don’t seem to be able to survive the every day joys of a toddler such as bath time, nappy changes and constantly digging through bags for lost hidden items.

There was a lot of fun had, and wine consumed, at the weekend to celebrate Mark’s cousin’s 30th birthday.  That night off duty was sooooooo needed!  Which reminds me I am currently refusing to drink any wine other that this delicious sauvignon blanc called Cowrie Bay.  Serve it in a large glass, under filled, chilled with a handful of ice for good measure!

So much is happening over here at the moment that I can’t share.  It’s strange to me as my blog has already provided a safe environment for me to get it out of my head.  But this time it isn’t my information to share.  Mark’s Dad is quite poorly, we aren’t sure exactly what is wrong or how to make it right.  Understandably it’s leaving us unsettled, worried and spending alot of time packing/unpacking and on the motorway as they live about 2 hours away.  Positive thoughts, prayers or whatever you do to try to beg the universe to be kind is much appreciated!

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you might have seen me using the hashtags #trulycommitted, #projectsparkle and #30thirty.  Trulycommitted is a month long ‘challenge’ organised by TrulyJess based around a daily task focused on healthy-living – you can find out more about it here.  ProjectSparkle is obviously something I’ve mentioned a few times but 30thirty is the extension of it.  In December next year I will be turning 30 and so 30thirty is my chance to sculpt my life over the next 18 months so I hit 30 in the way I want to.

Finally can you let me know what you love, hate or wish you could change about my blog design?
