We finally decided on a juicer, ordered and took delivery of the beauty. Oh how lovely she is. A few people have asked me to blog about our journey into juicing so I’m hoping to make it a little series. But, disclaimer!
I am not medically qualified. Anything I post is based on my own experience or a summary of what I’ve read. Please never do anything you aren’t comfortable with and check with a Doctor before making any significant changes in your diet or exercise habits.
What are the benefits of juicing?
1. nutrients, lots of easily accessible nutrients that your body can absorb and use
2. anti-aging, maybe wrinkles are actually from your body working so hard to digest!?
3. sleep quality and energy are often improved
4. reduced toxins, less processed, junk laden food – nuff said!
5. help return your body to an alkaline state, I’m still learning about this but when I had acupuncture I was ‘damp’
6. decrease in blood pressure
7. decrease in cholesterol – with PCOS you’re prone to increased cholesterol
8. improved immune system, see points 1, 3, 4 and 5
9. alleviates allergies, see point 7.
10. weightloss, generally you are drinking a juice high in nutrients not calories which the body can use {as long as you don’t over do the fruit}.
